April and May happenings

I haven't been on in awhile again...no excuses ;0
Since the last time I blogged lots have happened.

Anthony just turned 11. He is doing great in school. He has kept his grades up all year, which makes me a proud mama, ecspecially now that he's in middle school. He is now playing baseball and loves it so much. He has started pitching and really has a love for it. His face lights up when he on that mound. There is less than 20 days left of school and he is counting down the days until summer.

Lexy is growing up to quick too. She started reading little by little since the beginning of the year and I think she gets better everyday. She is trying to read chapter books already. She reminds me of myself when I was little...I loved to read. She can't wait to go into 1st grade so that she will be able to eat lunch at school :)

Carter is now 15 months and recently had a checkup. He weighed 28 lbs (my big boy) and is growing way to quick. He FINALLY took off walking at 14 months and is now running and I can barely keep up with him. He LOVES to give kisses constantly. He is always throwing everything and saying "uh oh" and he loves to say thank you....I love that he is learning his manners early.

Every milestone that Carter reaches is one more milestone that I don't get to see Cayden reach and that has been the hardest part. But we do everything we can to keep his memory alive.

We took our first camping trip of the year over spring break. We went to Jellystone park in Sturbridge, MA. It was a great time. The campground wasn't anything to brag about, but time spent with my family camping is always fun to me.

We have also been bike riding lately. We have started going on the Falmouth bike trail. The first time we went 8 miles and the second time we went 10 miles. I was one proud mama that the kids went that far. If we could get some nice sunny weather we would go more often....this Cape Cod weather stinks!

Besides all that, not a whole lot else is new. Ryan is busy working on helos and I am always busy with housework, kid stuff, or errands. I am looking forward to spending time with the kids this summer. Hopefully I will have more time to blog ;)

First camping trip of the year!!

I am so very excited to be writing that our first family camping trip of the year is booked!!
We are headed to Jellystone Yogi bear camp in Sturbridge, MA. the last week of April.
It is only an hour and half drive ( BIG plus for the gas ;-) )
We are going to go for 5 nights. 3 of which we will be paying for and the last 2 are free, woohoo! Free is for me!
Sorry, I am being a little silly tonight!
They had a special they were offering, where if you help them clean up your campsite then you camp for free! I acted quick on that one!
We also have a few families/friends from our street that are going, so we are planning on a good time!
I must say that being cooped up in the house most of this winter has definitely allowed some depression to creep in. Now I am not much of a depressed kind of person, but I sure do love me some sunshine and nature. Add my family to the mix of that and I am one happy gal!
I was so excited that I had to share my good news with all!

Proud Mama here

Sometimes I really wonder where the time goes? We have all been very sick for he past few weeks and I can officially say we are all feeling better...knock on wood :o We just celebrated Carter's first birthdayon the 4th. He is growing way too fast. He had his 1 year checkup on Monday. He weighed in at 26lbs and was just shy of 30 inches. He is almost walking...he wants to, but just isn't ready to do it without holding on yet and believe me, I am just fine with that;)

Anthony got his end of semester report card and he got 4A's, 1B, and 1C(french...go figure). He is playing basketball and seems to really enjoy it.
Lexy is loving kindergarten and her teacher told me she is scoring above average on everything (love to hear it) she is also doing ice skating. She has gotten so good at it. We are so proud of all of our kiddos.
Amongst all of this, we also had Cayden's 1 year angelversary. We released balloons for him on the boys birthday and then we released origami boats in the canal for him on his day. It was a very rough time, but we got through it together. I don't know what I would do without my family. I love them so much.
Almost all of the snow is melted now and Ryan and I were just saying today that we are ready for spring. I love the winters and playing in the snow is so much fun, but I am ready to wear a tank top and flip flops and my body is craving some sun. I also can't wait to see all the flowers bloom and most of all see some butterflies.
I am counting down the days until spring as of now......

A little bit of everything

ok, so I am not sure where to start. It has been too long since I wrote last and I have a new goal to write more often! I am going to get some pictures uploaded and try to stop being so busy :-) Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone.It was our first Christmas in New England and it was a white one. We all enjoyed it! The kids love to play in the snow! Memo and Papa came and visited and we had a good time. All the kids got lots of nice gifts. My sister Jen and her family came the day after Christmas and we got to go sledding and make a trip to Boston to Dicks.

Since then, we have wrecked the truck, we are going to court(pressing charges against a boy that decided to hit Anthony in the head numerous times), and Anthony hit a tree sledding and ended up in the ER....wow, just thinking about it all, makes me exhausted. Now Carter and I are very sick (I have lost my voice)and I am hoping February will be a fresh start.

We are approaching Carter and Cayden's first birthday on Feb 4th and Cayden's angelversary on Feb 6th. We have decided not to have a big party for Carter this year and we are going to go to the beach and do a little something special for Cayden.

Anthony is playing basketball right now and Lexy is doing ice skating. They both enjoy doing it. Carter is pulling up on everything and walking along it, but not quite ready to walk alone (thank goodness)!

That is all for now, but I promise to write again soon!
